(Minneapolis, MN) — Minnesota rookie Karl-Anthony Towns racked up 28 points and 13 rebounds as the Timberwolves trimmed the Boston Celtics at the Target Center last night, 124-122.. Gorgui Dieng (GOR-gee jeng) added 17 points and 12 boards for the Wolves, who snapped a two-game skid. Andrew Wiggins chipped in with 17 points, Zach LaVine scored 16 and Ricky Rubio had 15 in the victory. Jae Crowder posted 27 points and nine boards to lead Boston, which has alternated wins and losses over its last six games. Avery Bradley chipped in with 22 points in the setback for Boston, which rallied late, but could not pull off the victory. The Wolves visit Toronto tomorrow night.
