Player Notes
• In 33:58 minutes of action off the bench, Naz Reid led the way for the Timberwolves, finishing with a season-high 28 points on 10-of-17 shooting, including 4 -of-8 shooting, his second 25+ point game of the season (13th career). Tonight marked Reid’s sixth career game with 25+ points off the bench, tying Derrick Rose for the most 25+ point games off the bench in Timberwolves history.
• Reid added six rebounds on the night, his second 25+ point/5+ rebound game of the season (13th career). Tonight marked the sixth time in Reid’s career that he’s tallied 25+ points and 5+ rebounds off the bench, extending his franchise record. The next closest is Sam Mitchell with three such games.
• Tonight marked Reid’s fourth game of the season with four or more made three-pointers off the bench, the most in the NBA among big men.
• Reid scored 15 of 28 points in the first half, a season-high for either half. His previous high was 14 points in the second half vs. Charlotte on Nov. 4. Reid additionally scored 12 points in the second quarter and 10 of points in the fourth quarter of tonight’s game, his second and third 10+ point quarters of the season (10 points in the first quarter vs. Portland on Nov. 8) and 38th and 39th of his career.
• Anthony Edwards added 26 points on 8-of-19 shooting, including 4-of-10 from deep, his 11th straight 20+ point game to start the season (202nd career). He has tied Kevin Garnett (11 games from Oct. 31-Nov. 22, 2000) for the most consecutive 20+ point games to begin a season in franchise history. Edwards’ 11 straight games with 20+ points is the longest active streak in the NBA of 20+ point games.
• In scoring 26 points and knocking down four shots from deep, Edwards extends his streak of 20+ point/4+ threes to 11 games, the third most such games to start a season in NBA history. Only Stephen Curry (13 games; 2023-24 and 12 games; 2022-23) has had more such games to start a season.
• Jaden McDaniels ended tonight’s game with 17 points on 8-of-10 shooting, his second 15+ point game of the season (59th career). McDaniels added six rebounds, two steals and two blocks against the Trail Blazers, the fourth time in his career he’s tallied 15+ points/5+ rebounds/2+ steals/2+ blocks in a game and first since Dec. 23, 2022 at Boston.

• Minnesota finished the night shooting 50.7% (37-of-73) from the field, the fourth time shooting 50% or better from the field. The Wolves fall to 2-2 this season when doing so.
• The Timberwolves connected on 13 three-pointers tonight, the 11th straight game with 10+ threes made, the second-longest streak to begin a season in franchise history. Minnesota made 10+ treys in 20 straight games to begin the 2021-22 season.
• Minnesota forced 20 Portland turnovers tonight, converting them into 28 points off turnovers, marking the sixth game this season and fourth consecutive game in which the Timberwolves scored 20+ points off turnovers. The Wolves become the fourth team in the NBA this season to string together four or more consecutive games with 20+ points off turnovers.
