• Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves tonight against Phoenix with a game-high 40 points on 15-of-21 shooting, and a game-high and season-high nine rebounds, marking his fifth 40+ point game of the season (24th career), tying him with Luka Dončić for the most such games in the NBA this season. Tonight also marks Edwards’ fifth performance this season with 40+ points and 5+ rebounds (21st career), tied with Dončić for the league-lead.\

• Of Edwards’ 40 points, 21 of them came in the first half as he shot 7-of-10 (70.0%) from the floor, marking his ninth 20+ point half of the season (96th career). Tonight’s first half marks Edwards’ second time scoring 20+ points while shooting at least 70.0% from the field this season (13th career).

• Julius Randle finished the game with 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting, including 2-of-4 from deep, and a game-high eight assists, marking his 10th 20+ point/5+ assist game season (150th career).
