Player Notes
• In 29:01 minutes of action off the bench, Terrence Shannon Jr. led the way for the Timberwolves tonight, finishing with a season-high 25 points on 9-of-15 shooting and five rebounds, his first career 25+ point game. Shannon Jr. becomes the ninth rookie in Timberwolves history to score 25+ points off the bench and first since Anthony Edwards scored 25 points at Golden State on Jan. 27, 2021.
• With his five rebounds tonight, Shannon Jr. becomes the fourth rookie in Timberwolves history to finish a game with 25+ points and 5+ rebounds off the bench and first since Derrick Williams had 27 points and eight rebounds on April 11, 2012 at Denver.
• After finishing with 17 points on Feb. 24 at Oklahoma City, Shannon Jr. becomes the third Wolves rookie with back-to-back games off the bench with 15+ points and 5+ rebounds, joining Kevin Love (Jan. 2-3, 2009) and Sam Mitchell (2x; MR: March 8-10, 1990).
• Shannon Jr. was perfect from the free throw line, finishing 6-of-6 from the charity stripe and has now connected on 16 straight free theows (Feb. 12-27). The 16 straight free throws are the most by a Timberwolves rookie since Kelan Martin had 29 consecutive free throws from Dec. 28, 2019- March 4, 2020.

Team Notes
• The Timberwolves outscored the Lakers in fastbreak points tonight 23-8, the 10th time this season scoring 20+ fast break points. The Wolves fall to 5-5 on the season when doing so.
• Led by Shannon Jr.’s perfect 6-of-6 from the line, Minnesota finished the night with 20 made free throws, the fifth straight game with 20+ made free throws. The franchise record for consecutive games with 20+ free throws made is 13 games from Nov. 10-Dec. 8, 1995. The Lakers’ 46 free throw attempts are the most by a Timberwolves opponent in a regulation game since Nov. 7, 2010 at Houston (47).
