(New York, NY) — New York star Carmelo Anthony just missed out on a triple-double, helping the Knicks grab a 107-102 win against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Madison Square Garden. Anthony piled up 20 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists. Arron Afflalo paced New York to its second straight victory with 29 points. The anticipated matchup between two rookies in Kristaps Porzingis and Karl-Anthony Towns lived up to the billing. Porzingis went for 11 points, seven blocks and six rebounds for the Knicks. Minnesota’s Towns had a team-high 25 and 10 boards. Ricky Rubio filled up the box score with nine points, 12 assists, 10 rebounds and eight steals for the T’wolves, who have lost four straight. The Wolves host Sacramento tomorrow.
