Player Notes
• Anthony Edwards led the way for the Timberwolves tonight with a game-high 43 points on 12-of-23 shooting, including 5-of-10 from three and 14-of-17 from the free throw line. Edwards also ended the night with nine rebounds and a team-high six assists, marking his first 40+ point/5+ rebound/5+ assist game of the 2025 NBA Playoffs (fourth career).
• Tonight marked Edwards’ fifth career playoff game with 40+ points, the most such games in franchise history and tied for the second most 40+ point playoff games in NBA history by a player aged 23 or younger. Edwards became the 35th player in NBA history to record 5+ 40+ point playoff games.

• Edwards became the 12th player in NBA playoff history to record 40+ points on 50.0%+ shooting from the field while making 5+ threes on 50.0%+ shooting from deep and attempting 14+ free throws while also recording 5+ rebounds, 5+ assists and 1+ blocks. He is just the fourth player in NBA history aged 23 or younger to record such a stat line.
• At the 7:43 mark of the fourth quarter, Edwards knocked down his fifth three of the night, giving him his 100th made three of his playoff career. At 23 years and 265 days old, Edwards becomes the youngest player in NBA history to reach 100 career three-pointers in the playoffs.
• Julius Randle finished the night with 25 points on 9-of-22 shooting, knocking down three shots from deep and grabbing seven rebounds, marking his second 25+ point game of the 2025 NBA Playoffs and the third such game of his career. Tonight also marked his second career playoff game with 25+ points and 5+ rebounds, his first such game since May 2, 2023 vs. Miami (25 points and 12 rebounds).
• Randle scored 21 of his 25 points in the first half, marking his career-high in points in any half of a playoff game. He has now scored 20+ points in three-straight playoff games, the longest such playoff streak of his career.
• Randle got off to a hot start for Minnesota, scoring the Wolves first seven points of the game, becoming the first player to score the team’s first seven points in a playoff game dating back to the 2002-03 season.
• Jaden McDaniels added 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting, including 2-of-3 from three and a playoff-career-high 11 rebounds, marking his first career playoff point/rebound double-double. McDaniels becomes the third player in franchise history to record 15+ points on 50.0%+ shooting from the field while making 2+ threes and grabbing 10+ rebounds in a playoff game joining Karl-Anthony Towns (3x) and Tom Gugliotta.
• Donte DiVincenzo came off the bench to record 28:34 minutes of action, finishing with eight points and a new playoff career-high five steals. DiVincenzo’s five steals are tied for the most steals in a playoff game in franchise history (Anthony Peeler: April 28, 2001 vs. San Antonio; Latrell Sprewell: May 16, 2004 at Sacramento and Trenton Hassell: April 27, 2004 at Denver). DiVincenzo’s tallied four of his steals in the first half, setting a new franchise record for most steals in a single half in playoff game.
• DiVincenzo is the first player in franchise history to come off the bench and record 5+ points and 5+ steals in a playoff game, the 40th player in NBA history to do so and the first to do so since Milwaukee’s Jevon Carter accomplished the feat April 27, 2022 vs. Chicago (six points and five steals).
Team Notes
• Minnesota’s 116-113 Game 4 victory marks the first time in franchise history that the Wolves have won Games 3 and 4 at home in a playoff series (11th series without home court advantage).
• The Timberwolves were down as many as 12 points with 10.5 seconds left in the third quarter and outscored the Lakers 32-19 in the fourth quarter to win the game. Tonight marks Minnesota’s second-largest playoff comeback victory in franchise history (20-point comeback on May 19, 2024 at Denver in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semifinals).
• Led by Rudy Gobert’s game-high seven offensive rebounds, the Timberwolves pulled down a 2025 NBA Playoff high 18 offensive boards in tonight’s Game 4 win. Dating back to the 2024 Playoffs, Minnesota has accumulated the second most offensive rebounds (217).
• The Timberwolves won the turnover battle in tonight’s game 12-9. Minnesota has now won the turnover battle in all four games played through the first round, with tonight’s contest marking the first time in franchise history the Wolves have won the turnover battle in four straight playoff contests.
• In tonight’s win, Minnesota finished Game 4 shooting 14-of-36 from three-point range, marking the third game during the 2025 Playoffs that the Wolves have connected on 12+ three-pointers as they move to 3-0 on the season when accomplishing the feat. In this year’s playoffs, Minnesota is tied sixth in the NBA in three-pointers with 13.3 per game.
• The Timberwolves held the Lakers to 45.0% (36-of-80) shooting in Game 4. Over the last two playoffs, Minnesota is 11-1 when holding opponents under 48.0% (1-7 when allowing 48.0% or higher).
