The National Basketball Athletic Trainers Association (NBATA) announced that the Minnesota Timberwolves Athletic Training Staff has been honored with the 2025-26 Joe O’Toole- David Craig Athletic Training Staff of the Year Award.
The award presented each year is a peer-nominated honor recognizing one NBA Athletic Training Staff for their exemplary achievements and outstanding service on and off the court. The award was presented last week in Chicago during the organization’s annual meetings.
“We couldn’t be prouder of our Athletic Training Staff being named this year’s Joe O’Toole-David Craig Athletic Training Staff of the Year,” said Timberwolves General Manager Matt Lloyd. “The great work that our group does each and every day is a testament to the overall health of our players, and we thank them for setting the standard across the NBA.”
The Timberwolves Athletic Training Staff is led by Vice President of Team Medical Services, Dr. Sheldon Burns, Vice President of Medical Services, Gregg Farnam, Vice President of Medical Operations/Performance Therapy, David Hines, Head Athletic Trainer, Erin Sierer, Assistant Athletic Trainers, Jesse Geffon and Michael Austin, and Sports Physical Therapist, Lisa Pataky.
