Twenty-plus years in prison for a 72-year-old man from Woodbury who admitted to fatally slashing his wife’s throat at a care facility where they lived, reports the Star Tribune. Harvey Kneifl, a former school bus aide, did it the night before he was due in court for trial on charges that he molested several preschoolers. He told police his wife had been suffering from Alzheimer’s and he killed her out of mercy.
