Today is World AIDS Day. The Department of Health’s Roy Nelson says there is still no cure or vaccine for the disease, but it is preventable. He says besides practicing prevention, whenever you can — get tested if you are at risk or have had unprotected sex or perhaps shared a needle for tattooing or drug injection and so forth. Nelson says testing is the most important step in reducing infection rates and preventing the spread. Nearly 88-hundred Minnesotans are living with H-I-V/AIDS. Over the last 10 years, an average of 300 new infections have been diagnosed each year.
