Minnesota Wild forward Jason Zucker underwent bilateral core muscle surgery on Thursday, the team announced.
The surgery was performed by Dr. William Meyers in Philadelphia. Zucker is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for the start of training camp in September, the team said.
Zucker recorded a career-high 22 goals to go along with 25 assists and tied defenseman Ryan Suter with a team-best plus-34 rating this season. The 25-year-old forced overtime by scoring the tying goal in Game 5 of the first-round series against the St. Louis Blues.
A second-round selection of Minnesota in the 2010 draft, Zucker has scored 64 goals and set up 44 others in 248 career contests.
