Central Division Collision Tonight In St. Paul ***AUDIO***

December 29, 2022 By kevin.falness@mnnradio.com

(St. Paul, MN) — The Wild are home tonight to host the Stars. The Wild are coming off a 4-1 win in Winnipeg on Tuesday to pull within a point of the Jets for second place in the Central Division. The first place team is the Stars thanks to a great start to the season. Tuesday they pulled in 3-2 win over the Predators in Nashville as Roope Hintz scored with under a minute left in regulation. The Wild and Stars met earlier this month in Dallas as the Wild blew a 5-1 third period lead only to get it done 6-5 in a shootout. Marc Andre Fleury is expected to get the start but still no Marcus Foligno or Brandon Duhaime, both out with injury. Mason Shaw will also miss the game as he serves the second of two games he was suspended for a kneeing major in San Jose into the holiday break. Puck drops at 7 P-M tonight from Xcel Energy Center.

Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger of Lakeville joined Kevin Falness on Wednesday’s “KFAN Wild Weekly” to talk about skating outdoors with his Stars teammates in St. Paul on their off day:
