(St. Paul, MN) — The 2024 N-C-A-A Men’s Ice Hockey Frozen Four gets underway tonight at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. There are no Minnesota-based team competing in college hockey’s premiere event. Second-rated Boston University will face number-three Denver in today’s opening national semifinal at 4 P-M. The Terriers enter today’s game with a 28-9-and-2, while the Pioneers are 30-9-and-3. Two Minnesotans play for Denver, including Tristan Broz of Bloomington and Jared Wright of Burnsville. Boston has one Minnesota native on the roster. He is freshman forward Jack Harvey of Stacy. Top-ranked Boston College will face number-ten Michigan in tonight’s second game. The Eagles are 33-5-and-1, while the Wolverines are 26-9-and-3. Michigan boasts three Minnesotans, including freshman Garrett Schifsky of Andover, sophomore Josh Eernisee of Eagan, and sophomore forward Jackson Hallum of Eagan. Boston College has sophomore forward Will Traeger of Mendota Heights. The two winning teams tonight will play in Saturday’s national championship game at 5 P-M.
