(Champaign, IL) — Despite 31 points by Jamison Battle the Gophers fell at Illiois on Monday night 78-69. Dawson Garcia had 18 points in the loss as the Gophers drop to 7-17 on the season. The Fighting Illini, who improved to 17-9, got were lead by Matthew Mayer who scored 22. The Gophers are at Maryland on Wednesday night at 6 P-M followed by a trip to Nebraska for a meeting with the Huskers at 2:30 P-M on Saturday. In total there’s just four games left in the regular season for Minnesota.
