(Minneapolis, MN))  —  Pharrel Payne had 21 points and 11 rebounds as the Gopher men’s basketball team took care of Rutgers 81-70 on Sunday night at Williams Arena.  The game was tied 37-37 at the half but the Gophers pulled away in the second half.  Elijah Hawkins put in 16 points and Dawson Garcia had 14 points and eight rebounds as the Gophers improved to 16-9 overall and 7-7 in the Big Ten.  Rutgers saw their four game win streak come to an end and fall to 14-11 overall and 6-8 in the conference.  The Gophers next host Ohio State on Thursday night while Rutgers is headed to Purdue to face the Boilers.
