(Minneapolis, MN) — Golden Gopher volleyball player Mckenna Wucherer won a gold medal for the Team U-S-A Under-21 Pan Am Cup Games in Mexico in May. The Brookfield, Wisconsin native helped the U-S to wins in all fives matches and take home the medal. She says the experience will make her a better player for Minnesota when the season starts in the fall. She and her Gopher teammates are back on campus for the start of summer school and summer workouts. She says the transition to play for new head coach Keegan Cook has been a smooth one and she feels like she and the team is improving. The Gophers recently announced their non-conference schedule, which will include a home match against the defending national champion Texas Longhorns.
