Minnesota Vikings WR Justin Jefferson has been named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his outing against the Buffalo Bills in Week 10, the NFL announced today.
Jefferson played a major role in the 33-30 overtime win at Buffalo, catching 10 passes for a career-high 193 yards, including a 32-yard reception on a fourth-and-18 late in the fourth quarter, and one receiving touchdown. He tallied four receptions of at least 20 yards, the most in the NFL in Week 10. Jefferson and Dallas WR CeeDee Lamb were the only players in the league to record at least 10 receptions, 150 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown in Week 10.
The third-year wide receiver’s 193 receiving yards in Week 10 are the most in a game in the NFL this season and marked his 20th career game with at least 100 receiving yards, setting a new NFL record for most 100-yard receiving games in a player’s first three seasons, passing Odell Beckham, Jr. (19) and Hall of Fame WR Randy Moss (19). It is also the fifth-most receiving yards in a single game by a Viking in franchise history and the most since WR Adam Thielen had 202 yards against Green Bay in 2016.
This is the second time Jefferson has won NFC Offensive Player of the Week. Since 2000, Jefferson is one of four Vikings wide receivers to win the award, joining Stefon Diggs (Week 2 in 2016), Sidney Rice (Week 10 in 2009) and Randy Moss (Week 10 in 2001). He is also the first Vikings wide receiver to win this award in back-to-back seasons since 2000. The Vikings have won a Player of the Week award four times this season.
