(Minneapolis, MN) — A federal grand jury has indicted the girlfriend of Shannon Gooden — the man who fatally shot three first responders in Burnsville last month before killing himself. Authorities allege Dyrdahl bought five firearms for Gooden, including the two AR-15s that were used in the fatal shooting on February 18th. Dyrdahl is charged with five counts of straw purchasing, one count of conspiracy, and five counts of making false statements during the purchase of a firearm.

(Willmar, MN) — A Willmar massage business owner, 55-year-old Ying He, has been arraigned on charges of soliciting an employee to perform sex acts on customers. She faces one felony count of soliciting someone to commit prostitution, along with several misdemeanor charges. Criminal complaints say the victim reported to the police that He kept her confined in a locked room at the business, controlling her access to food and bathing and instructing her to engage in sexual acts with customers upon request. The victim stated that she refused to comply with a customer’s demand, leading he to punch her twice. He is held on unconditional bail at $150,000, with her next court appearance scheduled for March 20th.

(Foley, MN) — A Benton County man accused of shooting and wounding several police officers has been found competent to stand trial. After he was arrested last October, a judge ordered an evaluation for 64-year-old Karl Holmberg. Officers were attempting to serve a search warrant at Holmberg’s Glendorado home when he allegedly fired at them. Five officers were wounded, but all of them survived; Holmberg is charged with 16 felonies, including attempted murder and first-degree assault.

(Minnetonka, MN) — The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Water Patrol says Lake Minnetonka is now completely ice-free, or at least 90 percent, which means it is safe for boats to navigate the water. This marks the second earliest ice-out ever recorded at the lake. The earliest record is still held by March 11th, 1878.
