(Washington, DC) — A woman from Rochester has pleaded guilty to a federal felony charge for her role in the January 6th, 2021 insurrection at the U-S Capitol. Prosecutors allege 41-year-old Victoria White “shoved through the crowd…assisted other rioters into the tunnel and cheered as they attacked the police officers inside.” Her public defender told the Star Tribune after Thursday’s court appearance that White didn’t have any comment. White sued the District of Columbia and local law enforcement in 2022, claiming she was severely beaten by an officer — but later withdrew the lawsuit, citing she didn’t have the time or resources to spend on a lawsuit until her criminal trial is resolved.

(Fargo, ND) — Dramatic bodycam footage from the July 14th mass shooting in Fargo that killed Officer Jake Wallin, and injured two officers, and a civilian. North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley and Fargo Police Chief Dave Zibolski say Officer Zach Robinson took control of the situation with extreme restraint, just after seeing three fellow officers and a civilian go down by gunfire. Police believe the shooter 37-year-old Mohamad Barakat was on his way to a downtown street fair and intended to commit a mass shooting. Four rifles, three handguns, 18 hundred rounds of ammunition, a canister of gasoline, and a propane tank filled with explosive material were found in his car.

(Tower, MN) — Authorities in northeast Minnesota’s Saint Louis County say five people suffered non-life-threatening injuries when their minivan hit a moose on a wet road near Tower Wednesday evening. The State Patrol says the vehicle was on Highway 1 in the northern part of the county when a moose ran out onto the road. The driver, two other adults, a nine-year-old and a 13-year-old were taken to hospitals in Ely and Virginia. Information on the moose isn’t immediately available.

(New Ulm, MN) — Alcohol may be a factor in a crash that killed an 82-year-old Sharon Portner, in New Ulm Thursday afternoon. According to the State Patrol, a B-M-W was traveling southbound on Highway 68 when it crashed into a Mitsubishi traveling northbound. 53-year-old John Deleo of Crystal Lake survived and was taken to New Ulm Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. He was later booked into the Brown County Jail and charged with vehicular homicide and operating a vehicle with negligence while under the influence of alcohol.

(Minneapolis, MN) — Witnesses say a queerphobic interaction is what led up to a mass shooting at an underground Minneapolis music venue, Nudieland, that killed August Golden and injured six others. Witness Aaron Dively says, “Two young men came in, started hitting on people that were not open to being hit on. And after being reprimanded and told to like step down, they grew increasingly violent, and did what they did.” Police have not yet made an arrest in connection to the shooting but report “investigators are developing strong leads.”
