The Randy Shaver Cancer Research and Community Fund raised around $450,000 over the past two days at a gala and golf outing in the Twin Cities.  Shaver is the popular KARE 11 television personality and a two-time cancer survivor.  He has been raising money with his foundation for 30 years.  Shaver says most of the funds go towards cancer research efforts at the University of Minnesota, with other dollars going to other programs throughout the state. In all, Shaver’s Foundation has generated around $15 million in funds over the past three decades.
