The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have returned left-handed pitcher Caleb Thielbar from his rehab assignment and reinstated him from the 15-day Injured List.

Thielbar, who has missed the Twins’ last 46 games with a right oblique strain, made two appearances on rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul, tossing 2.0 scoreless innings with one walk and two strikeouts. In 12 appearances for the Twins this season, he has gone 0-1 with a 1.74 ERA (10.1 IP, 2 ER), two walks, 10 strikeouts, seven holds and a 0.97 WHIP.

To make room for Thielbar on the 26-man roster, the Twins have placed outfielder/first baseman Alex Kirilloff on the 10-day Injured List with a right shoulder strain. Kirilloff has hit .270 (61-for-226) with 13 doubles, one triple, eight home runs, 32 RBI, 25 walks, 24 runs scored and a .799 OPS in 69 games for the Twins this season.
