(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Wild host the Vancouver Canucks this afternoon and will get a crack at the N-H-L’s top team. The Canucks and their 37-13-6 record is tops in the league with 80 points through 56 games. The Wild aren’t in quite as a glamorous position as they’re 25-23-6 record with 56 points still leaves them back of the pack as they hunt down the final playoff spot in the West. The Wild blew a late lead against the Sabres on Saturday to fall in overtime 3-2 but still got a point for their trouble and are now 4-0-1 in their last five and 7-2-1 in their last 10. The Wild and Canucks faced off twice in December and skated to a split. The rubber match faces of this afternoon at 1 P-M from Xcel Energy Center.
