(Denver, CO) — The seasons final five game road trip continues tonight for the Minnesota Wild with their next stop taking them to Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. The trip started on Sunday in Chicago and it was the Wild that came out on top with a 4-0 victory. Jesper Wallstedt pitched the shutout on 24 saves for his first N-H-L win and shutout. While the Wild are 3-1-2 in their last six road games they’ve been all but eliminated from postseason contention. Meanwhile, the Avalanche have sputtered lately winning just once in their last four games. That was a 5-2 win in St. Paul last Thursday. Beyond that, they lost in Columbus a week ago and followed their trip to Xcel Energy Center with back to back losses to Edmonton and Dallas. Despite the losing streak, the Avalanche are second in the Central Division with 48 wins and 102 points. The Wild and Avs face off tonight at 8:30 P-M from Denver.
