Wild Prevail Despite Late Collapse

December 4, 2022 By kevin.falness@mnnradio.com

(Dallas, TX)  —  The Minnesota Wild held on for a 6-5 shootout win over the Dallas Stars after blowing a four-goal lead in the third period.  Five separate players each scored for Minnesota as they built a 5-1 lead early in the third.  Then, Dallas center Roope Hintz netted two goals to complete his hat trick, Jason Robertson scored his league-leading 23rd goal of the season, and Mason Marchment found the back of the net to tie it up late.  Minnesota’s Frederick Gaudreau decided the game when he scored in the shootout.  The Stars are still first-place of the Central Division with 33 points while the Wild are sitting behind them in third with 28 points.
