(St. Paul, MN) — Marc Andre Fleury is now all alone as the second winningest goaltender in N-H-L history and he got it done with a 5-0 shutout victory over the New York Islanders.
Fleury made 21 saves to notch win number 552 to move past Patrick Roy for number two on the all time list only trailing Martin Brodeur who’s alone and number one with 691. Fleury got the record thanks to two goals by Joel Eriksson Ek plus Mats Zuccarello, Connor Dewar and Marcus Foligno also scored. The win stops a four game losing streak and also a six game drought on home ice. The Wild went 1-1-1 on their three game home stand and now head to Tampa to face the Lightning on Thursday at 6 P-M.
