Player Notes
• Anthony Edwards led the way for the Timberwolves tonight with 22 points on 9-of-20 shooting, a game-high 11 rebounds and five assists, marking his fourth 20+ point/10+ rebound/5+ assist game of the season (ninth career) and his second consecutive such game against the Bulls. Tonight also marks Edwards’ seventh point/rebound double-double of the season (21st career).
• Edwards’ seven point/rebound double-doubles are tied with Jalen Green for the eighth most such games among guards in the NBA this season. His four 20+ point/10+ rebound/5+ assist games are tied for the third most such games among guards in the NBA this season and his nine career 20+ point/10+ rebound/5+ assist games pass Tyrone Corbin for the most such games by a guard in franchise history.
• Rudy Gobert finished the night with 19 points on a flawless 8-of-8 shooting, 10 rebounds, two steals and one block. Tonight marks his 48th double-double of the season (434th career) and his 17th such game this season with at least one block and one steal (188th career).
• Tonight marks Gobert’s sixth double-double of the season without a miss from the field (36th career). His 36 career double-doubles without a miss rank second in NBA history, trailing only DeAndre Jordan by one game for the most such games in NBA history.
• Tonight also marks Gobert’s second double-double of the season without a miss from the field and at least one block and steal and his 15th such game of his career, also ranking second in NBA history for such games (Jordan: 17 games).
• Mike Conley added 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting, including 5-of-9 from deep, seven assists and a game-high and season-high-tying four steals, notching his second consecutive and 12th 15+ point/5+assist game with 5+ threes this season. This is only the second time in Conley’s career that he has put together consecutive games with 15+ points/5+ assists with 5+ made threes (Dec. 19 – Dec. 21, 2018).
• Conley becomes just the second player in NBA history since the 1967-68 season aged 36 or older to put together consecutive games of 15+ points/5+ assists and 5+ made threes, joining LeBron James, who has done so twice. No player has had three consecutive such games.
