The Golden Gopher football team is set to host an open practice tonight at Huntington Bank Stadium. Fans are asked to enter the venue through Gate E and sit in the south stands. The practice is set to begin at 5:30 P-M. Minnesota’s ten team captains will sign autographs after the practice on the West Plaza. The Gophers will open the regular season two weeks from tonight when they host Eastern Illinois.

School Supply Drive
The football team will host a school supply drive in conjunction with the open practice. Fans are encouraged to bring school supplies, including backpacks, pencils (traditional and mechanical), pencil cases/pouches, pens, highlighters, markers, crayons, colored pencils, dry-erase markers, erasers, glue sticks, safety scissors, notebooks, folders, three-ring binders, sticky notes, index cards, rulers, calculators, water bottles and disinfecting wipes. Minnesota will then donate these items to local schools.
