(St. Paul, MN) — St. Paul police are searching for a missing 15-year-old. Neveah Bishop was last seen in St. Paul near Lexington Pkwy and Summit Ave. She’s described as Black, 5 feet 3 inches tall, 225 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Bishop was last seen wearing a purple bonnet, a black and white striped shirt, and gray sweatpants. Her hair may be in braids.

 

>>Woman Goes Missing from Brooklyn Park Group Home

(Brooklyn Park, MN) — Brooklyn Park police are searching for a woman who left her group home on foot. 57-year-old Kathryn Rucks has not been seen since Sunday. She is without medication for her mental health diagnoses and has a history of drug use. Rucks also does not have her cell phone. She’s described as white, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 210 pounds, with blonde hair and green eyes.

 

>>Morris Man Dies After Colliding with Train

(Hancock, MN) — A Morris man was killed when the SUV he was driving and a BNSF train collided near an intersection. The Stevens County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened around 2:45 Wednesday afternoon near Hancock in western Minnesota. The SUV driven by 49-year-old Edgar Rios was headed east when the collision occurred. He died at the scene. The sheriff’s office and state patrol are investigating.

 

>>Brooten Man Dies in Farm Accident

(Brooten, MN) — A Brooten man died in a farm accident on Tuesday in west-central Minnesota. Emergency responders arrived to find 46-year-old Eric Segaar pinned under a large corn planter. He was freed from the planter, and life-saving measures were performed, but Segaar died at the scene. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says Segaar and another man were working on malfunctioning hydraulics when the accident happened.

 

>>Minneapolis Felon Guilty of Illegal Firearms, Machinegun Possession

(Minneapolis, MN) — A federal jury has found a Minneapolis felon guilty of illegally possessing firearms and a machine gun. Court documents say 28-year-old Clenest Wells Jr. was repeatedly caught carrying firearms prohibited by his multiple prior felony convictions. Law enforcement seized a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol from Wells on April 6th, 2020, another 9mm semi-automatic pistol on May 23rd, 2022, and a 9 mm handgun with an auto-sear, converting it to an automatic machine gun, on July 30th, 2023. Wells will be sentenced at a later date.

 

>>MPCA Fines Regions Hospital $100K for Waste Violations

(Undated) — The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency is fining Regions Hospital $100,000 for infectious waste violations in 2024. Officials say the hospital improperly disposed of infectious waste, including blood and liquids contaminated with blood, multiple times at a waste-to-energy facility. Regions also had to complete a series of corrective actions as part of the fine.

 

>>Fergus Falls Woman Accused of Threatening Bank Employee

(Fergus Falls, MN) — A 71-year-old woman from Fergus Falls was arrested in Fergus Falls for threatening a bank employee. On Monday, Cynthia Nelson entered the bank to close her account and demanded a refund for a $2.16 charge from the postal service, which upset her. After receiving the refund, Nelson became agitated, threatened the employee by saying, “I’m not done with you,” and left the bank while using an expletive and showing her middle finger. Nelson is charged with threatening violence and disorderly conduct.
