(Minneapolis, MN)  —  The Minnesota Golden Gophers defeated the Michigan Wolverines 20-14 on Saturday afternoon reclaiming the Little Brown Jug for the first time since 2014 and securing their first home victory over Michigan since 1977. Trailing 14-7 at halftime after two interceptions (one returned 79 yards for a touchdown), the Gophers rallied behind a stifling defense that forced multiple second-half turnovers and held the Wolverines to just 180 total yards. Quarterback Drake Lindsey atoned for his early mistakes with a 3-yard touchdown pass to Darius Taylor early in the fourth quarter for the decisive score, while field goals helped complete the 13-0 second-half surge. The win improved Minnesota to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in Big Ten play—their first such conference start since 2019—and marked coach P.J. Fleck’s 100th career victory, as fans stormed the field in celebration.
