(St. Paul, MN)  —  The Minnesota Wild opened training camp yesterday at TRIA Rink in St. Paul as they prepare for another season.  Yesterday, there were two groups on the ice.  Both groups practiced separately and also scrimmaged against each other.  Max Shabanov got a look on the top line in place of Mats Zuccarello while Blake Coleman got the first chance at the spot on the second line wing left vacant by Marcus Johansson.  Quinn Hughes was also in attendance on the top pair, although a lot of the talk was about him entering the final year of his contract and if he’s any closer to signing an extension.  The Wild have another day of skating today followed by their first preseason game on Saturday night against Chicago.  Puck drops at 7 P-M at Grand Casino Arena.
