Player Notes
• Anthony Edwards led the Wolves in their 117-94 victory over Toronto, posting a game-high 26 points on 10-of-18 shooting, including 2-of-4 from three, and three assists. His 26 points against Toronto brings his total to 85 points through three games, noting his fifth-most points through three games of a season in Wolves history.

• With 16 points scored in the first half of tonight’s contest, Edwards marked his 119th 15+ point half since 2024-25, tied for third-most in the NBA in that span (Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, 184; Luka Doncic, 135).

• In 22:43 minutes of action off the bench, Terrence Shannon Jr posted 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting, including a perfect 3-of-3 from deep, four rebounds and three assists, just the sixth 15+ point game off the bench in his career. Shannon Jr opened the game 5-of-5 from the field, marking just the second time he’s started a game 5-of-5 or better (7-of-7 at Oklahoma City on Nov. 26, 2025). He also became the first Wolves player to shoot 100% on 3+ attempts in a single half this season.

• LaMelo Ball recorded 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting, including 4-of-5 from the arc, eight assists and two steals. With four made threes tonight, Ball became the fourth Timberwolves player to make 2+ threes in each of his first three games with the team, joining Malik Beasley (11), Robert Covington (4) and Greg Buckner (3). Ball brought his assist total to 19 dimes through three games, tying the fifth-most assists through three games of a season in franchise history (D’Angelo Russell, 29; Terry Porter, 23; Ricky Rubio, 22; Micheal Williams, 22).

• Rudy Gobert tallied eight points and a game-high 13 rebounds tonight, his second 10+ rebound performance of the season. Gobert had 10 rebounds through three quarters of tonight’s game, marking his 37th game with 10+ rebounds through the first three quarters, second in the NBA behind Nikola Jokic (38).

Team Notes
• The Timberwolves defeated the Raptors 117-94 to go up 3-0 on the season, marking the fourth time in franchise history Minnesota has opened a season 3-0 and the first such start since the 2019-20 season (2001-02, 6-0; 2013-14, 3-0; 2019-20, 3-0).

• With tonight’s victory, Minnesota won its 11th consecutive home opener, the sixth-longest streak in NBA history (Portland Trailblazers 2001-18, 18; Boston Celtics 1979-92, 14; San Antonio Spurs 2009-21, 13; Minnesota Timberwolves 1995-2006, 12; Boston Celtics 1957-68, 12).

• The Wolves’ 23-point win marks the second-highest margin of victory in a home opener in franchise history (+36, 2016 vs. Memphis). Minnesota has outscored opponents by 70 points this season, 10th highest through three games in NBA history.

• The Wolves are the third team in NBA history to start a season with three-straight 20+-point wins (Utah – 2004-05, Boston – 1962-63). Tonight’s win also marked the second time in franchise history that Minnesota has ever strung together three 20+ point wins at any point in a season (Jan. 22-24-25, 2000).

• Minnesota outrebounded Toronto tonight 49-34, the third straight time outrebounding its opponent to begin the season. This marks the first time in franchise history they have ever outrebounded their opponent by 15+ in three straight games.

• Minnesota netted 43-of-77 (55.8%) from the field tonight, the best field goal percentage in a home opener all-time.

• The Wolves held an eight-point lead over the Raptors at halftime, marking the fifth time Minnesota has led by 8+ points at halftime in each of their first three games of the season and the first time doing so since the 2022-23 season.
